My name is Alexa Moreno, an artist and curator from Inglewood, CA. I’ve been tattooing professionally for a little over six years now. My journey started in street shops and studios in LA and brought me to Humboldt, where I’ve built my home and practice for the last three years. Alongside my resident work here, I also guest spot across the Bay Area and LA. 

 

I specialize in black and grey work ranging from micro-fine detail to bold, high contrast imagery, and soft realism. My work heavily centers Mesoamerican culture, Chicano art, sci-fi, dark fantasy, medieval and gothic themes with an ongoing appreciation of capturing wildlife and florals. 

 

As an Indigenous artist, I treat tattooing as sacred work and intentional energy exchange. I approach every piece through the lens of medicine; honoring the deep healing and transformation that occurs throughout the physical process
